Inventory levels continue to decrease substantially, another indicator that supports the local market is strengthening. The inventory of listings in Miami-Dade County, according to the Southeast Florida Multiple Listing Service, has dropped 42.5 percent in the last 19 months – from 43,095 to 24,792 units – and February 2010 brought a .51 percent decrease in just one month. In comparison, nationally, total housing inventory at the end of February rose 9.5 percent from the previous month.
